How it runs

Three nodes: the Participant Created trigger, a Wait 1 Day delay, then a Send WhatsApp Reminder action.

Before you switch it on

Sends through Wabot. Connect it under Platform Setup, then Integrations, then WhatsApp (Automation) before you switch it on.

Make it yours in 4 steps

Four steps from the template to reminders that send themselves.

  1. Connect Wabot

    Go to Platform Setup, then Integrations, then WhatsApp (Automation) and connect your Wabot account with its Access Token and Instance ID.

  2. Use the template

    On Automations, click Templates and choose Use Template on Event Registration Reminder. It opens switched off.

  3. Pick your event & message

    Choose your event in the Participant Created trigger, then reword the reminder. Variables like {event_name} and {event_date} fill in.

  4. Update & activate

    Click Update Automation, then Activate. Only participants created while it is active are reminded.

What organisers ask about the Event Registration Reminder template.

Does it remind people the day before the event?

No. The wait counts from the moment each person registers. For a reminder the day before the event, change the Delay to Until a Date & Time.

Can I wait longer than one day?

Yes. Double-click the Wait 1 Day node, set the Duration and Time Unit you want and click Save Delay.

I use Wasapbot. Is there a version for that?

Yes. Use the WasapBot Event Reminder template, which does the same through Wasapbot.
